You have to use bleach...Since your hair is dark, It won't show up(Even if it is Blond color.)Revlon hair color not working?
could be a couple of reason..
if you already have color on your hair, well color doesn't lift color and it is spitting it back out.
if you want highlights you must use bleach to lift the color from the hair.
and some hair just won't except box colors...
go to a professional... it is your best option to allevate mistakes...

revlon colorsilk is a dye that doesn't contain ammonia so it's better for your hair but it fades really quickly. just wait about a week and try washing your hair every day and see if it lightens up. if not, don't use lemon juice, it won't do anything. get a box of color oops hair dye remover from walgreens or rite-aid, it's around $10.00. i've used it before, it really works. it will remove all artificial pigment and bring you back to your natural color. yes, it will bring back your greys but you can then dye it again with a lighter color. good luck!I colored my hair with a revlon color silk dark brown it covered my grey's but the color is too dark it looks?
I use the same kind of hair dye. Every time I use dark brown, my hair turns black. It will fade after a few washes. But, the last time I dyed my hair, I experimented with the Revlon Color Silk Dark Brown-Black and it came out the color I wanted it to (dark brown). So, I would suggest trying that the next time.
Also, unlike most hair dyes, Color Silk is only supposed to be left in for twenty minutes rather than thirty.
You can use head and shoulders, it strips hair and leaves some colour, also baby shampoo can work. You can buy a lighter colour. But you have to understand that the colours on the box don't always dictate the colour it will be on you. Going to a salon is the best way.

How long does Revlon hair color usually last?
today i purchased the Revlon Color Silk Dark Mahogany Brown #32 hair dye and dyed my hair from super light blonde to this dark brown. use a Clarifying shampoo, Suave and White Rain each make one..it is usually a clear color..... it will strip your hair of the color you put on it....it will probably take a week or so if you wash your hair everyday
its usually last up to six to eight weeks. depending on the shampoo you use try using on that wont fade your color.

sounds like allergies, id consult your dr , maybe it was just the brand, they make gentler brands then that, alot of people are allergic to hair dye because really your just putting tons of chemicals on sensitive skin, i know when i dye mine it just gets really itchy but no scabbing or oozing so check with ur doc and see if he/she can give u some cream or something to make that recation go away and next time maybe try semi-permanant , its not as harshI use Revlon hair color. Well if it's for a science project, try finding out with pH paper. Maybe you can even attempt to titrate it. I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise.
